The snow is flying and resorts are opening across the country this week. Are you and your family ready to hit the trails and be warm and comfortable? Here are a few things that you must have to make your day on the snow more enjoyable.
You will need a lightweight warm pair of gloves. Normal downhill ski gloves are too bulky for nordic skiing and will not feel good in your pole straps. Here are a few gloves we suggest. Available in adult and youth.
Maxiglide is the best easy apply ski wax for the recreational skier. Great for skate skis, waxless fish scale skis and classic cross country skis. Simply use the sponge in tub, wipe a layer down the length of your skis and you are ready to go. Great for preventing snow build up in changing temperatures and snow condition.
Every skier needs warm comfortable socks. We suggest alpaca ski socks. These socks will keep your feet amazingly warm. The naturally hollow fiber will hold in the heat. The alpaca socks will also wick moisture away from you feet into the boot lining to keep you feet warm and comfortable. Choose you favorite weight socks. Try thin socks if your boots are constricting your feet. There are also some with great padded feet beds and additional technology built in. Find your favorite.
Get outside and enjoy the snow!
